Angela's Story

“Angela” first visited Life Forward’s Clifton location on a cold winter’s day carrying many heavy burdens. She shared with her Client Educator about the loss of her two-year-old daughter last year. Since that tragic loss, her life has been turned upside-down.

She was pregnant again and feeling all kinds of emotions: grief, anger, hope, excitement and fear. Most of all, Angela felt completely alone in the world. She doesn’t have support from the father of her baby and struggles with knowing how she will provide basic items for her baby. She didn’t know where to turn until she found Life Forward online.

Angela shared that she prays often and those times of pouring her heart out to God have gotten her through her most difficult moments.

Angela’s Client Educator discussed with her how finding a church home could be a source of support to her. She received referrals to counseling and other community agencies that could walk alongside her during her pregnancy. Angela accepted a Bible from her Client Educator as they ended their time together in prayer.

Looking to the future, Angela was excited to learn about Upward, Life Forward’s parenting education program. She registered for the next series of classes and looks forward to the first session.  The Life Forward Client Services Team hopes that Angela will connect with a supportive group of fellow expecting parents who will help her feel like she’s not so alone in the world.

Because of your partnership with Life Forward, Angela found the help, support and resources she needed. You made it possible for Life Forward to sow seeds of faith in Angela’s life. Thank you for your generosity and continued commitment to helping women and their families facing unplanned pregnancies in our community!
