Taryn’s Story: The Care She Needed

Taryn* came to Life Forward seeking testing for a possible sexually transmitted infection (STI). After having a distressing experience on a date, she began to experience some concerning new symptoms and was anxious about her health. While she carried feelings of anxiety, shame, and regret over this recent experience, she was also processing a painful history of abuse and trauma.

During her visit, Taryn received a preventative health checkup through our women’s health services. Our physician not only addressed her physical health needs, but took the time to listen to Taryn’s story, offer compassionate support, and remind her that God sees her, knows her pain, and cares for her deeply.

Taryn left her appointment expressing deep gratitude for the care she received and encouragement to continue prioritizing her health and well-being. She believed God brought her to Life Forward at just the right time.
